
A key Chamber aim is to put the spotlight on initiatives and programmes that can help businesses to develop and prosper. This seminar is one such offering.
The seminar will focus on the different aspects of enterprise development and aims to provide participants with a clear understanding of how Irish companies can access and make use of EU Innovation supports – the Seventh EU Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development or the Structural Funds; the financial instruments of the EIB such as JEREMIE: how to access the €8bn that Europe spends annually on international cooperation; and what are the rules of state aid for SMEs?
Seminar objectives
This seminar will use explanation and example to illustrate how Irish enterprises can and should avail of EU support programmes to grow, reinforce their competitiveness, and boost employment. A panel of European experts will join their Irish counterparts in a series of enlightening presentations.
Method
The seminar will consist of a series of illustrated presentations given by EIPA lecturers, EU officials, external experts, Enterprise Ireland and the Enterprise Europe Network in Ireland (EEN). Ample time will be given for question and answer sessions, discussions and sharing of experiences.

The seminar will be of interest to businessmen/women from different sectors (manufacturing, services, etc.) as well as policy makers in public administration, regional authorities and regional development agencies, higher education institutes, innovation centres, consultants and business development advisors, Chambers of Commerce or other such entities involved in facilitating the creation of new business and promoting the development of entrepreneurship, especially with respect to SMEs.
